ROMAN CATHOLIC FAITHFUL TO HOST
ARLINGTON PROTEST, MEETINGS

An international Catholic watchdog group announced it will be organizing a formal protest against the Catholic Bishop of Arlington, VA, for the punitive actions it has taken against one of its priests.

Stephen G. Brady, president of the Roman Catholic Faithful, Inc., (RCF) headquartered in Petersburg, IL, announced that RCF and its supporters would be conducting a public demonstration at the offices of the Arlington Catholic Chancery offices located at 200 N. Glebe Rd. The protest is scheduled to begin Monday, December 2, at 9:45 a.m. The action is being taken to show support for Fr. James Haley, who alleges he is being retaliated against by his bishop, Paul S. Loverde, for providing evidence that three priests in separate incidents stole church collections, impregnated a married parishioner and collected homosexual pornography.

RCF will also be conducting a 6 p.m. pre-protest meeting on Sunday, December 1 at the Quality Hotel Courthouse Plaza 1200 N. Courthouse Rd. in Arlington (phone: (703) 524-4000). Gregory L. Murphy, Fr. Haley's attorney, will be present to answer any questions raised about the case. Fr. Haley will also be present at the meeting in order to personally thank his supporters for their sacrifices and efforts.

A second meeting will take place at the Quality Hotel Courthouse Plaza on Monday evening at 6 p.m. The purpose of the meeting will be to strengthen RCF's organizational presence in the area. Members of the press and general public are invited to attend; latecomers are welcome.

Roman Catholic Faithful, Inc. is a not-for-profit lay organization, with many religious members, dedicated to promoting orthodox Catholic teaching and fighting heterodoxy and corruption within the Catholic hierarchy.
